Transition
“Transition” means changing from one state of being to another or changing location. It can also mean the space or time between two major changes.
Patricia Grace (1937–) was born to a Maori father and European mother. She was the first female Maori fiction writer. In the short story "Transition" (p. 244),the main character, Nanny, lives with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. The family is facing some major decisions about upcoming transitions.
